Tonight several of our St. Peter’s youth celebrated the Sacrament of First Penance/Reconciliation. After the children made their first confessions they were not only renewed in spirit, but they were given a warm Welcome Home by Jesus!
Fr. Paul led the group in prayer and thoughtful discussion of the importance of the sacrament. A HUGE “THANK YOU” goes to all the priests who participated in the Penance service tonight, and to the many teachers who helped to prepare our children for this evening.
Our appreciation and prayers also go to the parents who are supporting their children in these faithful efforts.
The evening concluded with the children adding their “new you” paper cut-out to the Jesus Welcome Home banner on the altar. It was a beautiful moment for the children and their families.
