January 1st is the Feast of the Solemnity of Mary, a feast celebrating Mary’s motherhood of Jesus. Let us honor Mary, the Mother of God, the Queen of Peace, by attending Mass at 9:00 a.m. Because the feast falls on a Saturday this year, it is not considered a Holy Day of Obligation, however, we encourage everyone to attend Mass that morning. A Vigil Mass will be offered on December 31st at 5:30 p.m.
