Holy Week at St. Peter the Apostle

April 16th- The Chrism Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist at 7:00 p.m.  You are invited to join Bishop Hartmayer and the priests of the Diocese for this special liturgical celebration where the Blessing of the Oils and Consecration of the Chrism will occur and our priests will renew their commitment to priestly service.

April 18th – Holy Thursday Mass will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. to commemorate Our Lord’s Last Supper, followed by Exposition of the Blessed sacrament.  The Altar of Adoration will be set up in the Daily Chapel and will remain open until 11:00 p.m. There is no 7:30 a.m. Mass that day.

April 19th – Good Friday  There will be Stations of the Cross at 3:00 p.m.  At 7:00 p.m. there will be a Liturgical Service and Veneration of the Cross and Holy Communion. The Pontifical Good Friday Collection is for the Holy Land. There is no 7:30 a.m. Mass that day.

April 20th – Holy Saturday Anticipated Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 8:30 p.m.  We will welcome our R.C.I.A. candidates into the Catholic faith at this Mass.  Please note: there will be NO 5:30 p.m. Vigil Mass on Holy Saturday.

April 21st – Easter Sunday  Masses will be celebrated at 7:00 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.  The Second Collection is for the Priest’s Retirement Fund.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy continues on Easter Sunday at 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday of Easter week at 6:00 p.m., Easter Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 28th, the Feast of Divine Mercy, at 3:00 p.m.  Everyone is welcome.
