St. Peter the Apostle is proud of its youth and the many ways they serve the parish and community. For 7th and 8th graders, SPY meets weekly offering fun activities along with service projects and an opportunity for young people to experience spiritual growth with peers. Twice a month they meet with youth from other Catholic parishes in Savannah at St. James Church for an evening of worship and fellowship. Throughout the year this group does many projects which are a great deal of fun. They also commit themselves to helping serve others, especially those less fortunate.

Our parish liturgies are greatly enhanced by music. We are always seeking members who can add to our choir.

Adult Choir
The adult choir sings at the 11:15 Mass each Sunday and also on various special occasions. Rehearsal is on Wednesday evenings from 7:30p.m.-8:30p.m. One does not need to know how to read music.

Youth Choir
The youth choir sings at the 9:00 Mass each Sunday under the direction of Mrs. Ana Portman and Mrs. Ellen Roach.

The parish senior citizen group meets the 2nd and 4th Friday in the youth center. They customarily meet at 11:30a.m. for fellowship and lunch. Guest speakers and activities are routinely scheduled. The group is open to anyone 55 years and older.

This group of men meet monthly. They offer assistance in many ways to the parish and help with other community needs, such as the Carmelite sisters.

This group of women meet monthly in various members homes and discuss topics pertinent to today’s women. The format is spiritually based, covering a wide variety of issues.

St. Peter the Apostle Women's Council serves and sponsors a variety of projects throughout the year. The Council meets the third Wednesday of every month, September through May, at 6:30 pm in the parish center. All women of the parish are invited to join.

Knights of Columbus
These men provide many services for the parish. They work on various projects which benefit St. Peter the Apostle Parish and school. Through service projects and involvement in many capacities, the Knights of Columbus serve the community in a number of ways.

The group meets monthly. Guest speakers covering a wide variety of issues are often invited. The women do many service projects for the parish and for various other agencies in need throughout the community.

Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers are offered the opportunity of meeting people in the most intimate and sacred of Catholic encounters: the sharing of the Eucharist.

Ministers of the Eucharist are trained by Linda Wilharm, 897-5156 from 8:00a.m. until 3:00p.m. , weekday.
