Once again five Wilmington Island churches will be participating a special Lenten program on Wednesday evenings. This program is designed to help us better understand each other's faith and the history behind each church. Mark your calendar to attend these informative evenings with your family.

ASH WEDNESDAY - This Wednesday, February 6th is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Holy Season of Lent. This is one of the two days of the year when Catholics are obligated to observe the law of fast and abstinence. The Mass times on Ash Wednesday are 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
SPECIAL COLLECTION - On Ash Wednesday, there will be a special collection for Aid to Eastern Europe. Please be as generous as possible.
LENTEN SERVICES - During the Fridays of Lent, we will have Stations of the Cross at 2:15 pm and Stations of the Cross and Holy Communion at 7:00 pm. As we prepare to commemorate the suffering, death and rising of Our Lord and Savior, everyone is encouraged to attend daily Mass which is held Monday through Friday at 7:30 am.
LENTEN REGULATIONS - All who have reached their 14th year are bound by the law of abstinence (no meat) on Ash Wednesday and all the Fridays in Lent. Those between the ages of 18 and 59 are bound by the law of fasting on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. To fast is to limit oneself to one full meal a day. Two other meatless meals, sufficient to maintain strength, may be taken according to each one’s needs. Together these should not equal another full meal. Between meals, only liquids may be taken.
K OF C LENTEN FISH FRYS - The Knights of Columbus Islands Council will hold two fish frys during Lent: THIS Friday, February 8th and also Friday, March 7th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Mark your calendar and plan to come out and enjoy a great meal with your family and fellow parishioners.

EASTER SUNDAY SECOND COLLECTION - On Easter Sunday there will be a second collection for Priest's Retirement of the Savannah Diocese.
EASTER FLOWERS - If you would like to make a donation towards the cost of Easter flowers in memory of a loved one, please use the envelope that was included in your February offertory envelopes or pick one up from the credenza in the narthex. Please fill it out clearly with name (s) of your loved one (s) and drop it in the offertory or bring it by the parish office by April 6th.
EASTER DUTY OBLIGATION - must be made from Ash Wednesday, February 6th through Trinity Sunday, May 18th.
