Genesis 22
Panel 11 contains the symbols of Joseph, all of which are elements taken from his dreams. In the 12th panel you see a burning bush, which represents God's Call of Moses. In the 13th panel you see the 10 Commandments standing atop Mt. Sinai. The water coming from the rock in the lower right hand side of the panel reminds us of how Moses drew water from a Rock to satisfy the murmuring Israelites who were wandering in the wilderness. In the 14th and 15th panels of the Old Testament are symbols for 3 major Old Testament writers. The star stands for David, the scroll and the scepter for Solomon, and the burning ember that was touched to the lips of Isaiah by the angel and the scroll stand for Isaiah.
