Concludes
Fr. Ben spoke in depth tonight about mercy and forgiveness in the concluding Mass of our Parish Mission. Not only are we expected to extend mercy and forgiveness to those who have hurt or offended us, but we are expected to receive the grace of mercy and forgiveness as well. Fr. Ben gave us much to contemplate as we prepare for our Lenten Journey.
The Mass concluded with the Blessing of the Throats in honor of the Feast of St. Blaise of Sebaste. Afterwards Parishioners enjoyed sweet treats and extended fellowship. This was a remarkable mission. We are so grateful to those who were so inspired to bring this mission to our church, and for all of those who volunteered their time, talents and treasures to make this event happen.
We want to extend a heartfelt and personal THANK YOU to Fr. Ben for sharing his gifts with us over the past several days. We ask that you all continue to keep Fr. Ben and his mission in your prayers as he moves on to share the concepts of Divine Mercy in the Gospels with others. May God continue to bless him with the grace, the wisdom, the patience, and the confidence to share the good Word.
